2. St. Thomas of Canterbury Annual Strawberry Festival & Craft Fair

St Thomas of Canterbury  Episcopal Church in Smithtown will be hosting their Annual Strawberry Festival and Craft Fair on Sat June 14th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  ( Rain date is  Sat. June 24th)

There will be many vendors selling their handcrafted items. New merchandise vendors and some yard sale items too. Strawberry themed food items for sale, such as Strawberry Shortcakes, Fresh strawberries, strawberry lemonade.  Hot foods and cold beverages are available in our food court.  We will have homemade baked goods to take home.  Children activities. Many raffles baskets,  and  DJ playing great music all day.  


3. Championship Picnic

Come and enjoy the championship picnic at Gaynor Park celebrating our great season with some great baseball and softball games! Free for all players and families of the St James Smithtown LIttle League.


4. Guitar Center Lessons Open House

On June 17 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., you're officially invited to our Open House to learn more about our world-class music lessons in guitar, drums, keyboard, vocals and more! Meet our experienced, friendly instructors and get a free introductory lesson. Plus, if you sign up during the Open House you can get your first month of lessons for just $99.

5. Kings Park Day 2017

Kings Park Day Annual Craft & Gift Fair is Saturday, June 17th, 2017. The fair is held outdoors on Main St & Rte 25 (directly across from the Kings Park Fire Department). The fair will be open from 10am to 4pm. Over 125 artisans and vendors are expected, including food and beverage court. The fair will also feature Live Music, Dance Performance, Karate Demonstrations, Kiddie Rides and Raffles. Free admission, rain or shine. 


6. Naturalist Jan Porcinchak To Conduct Nature Walk At Caleb Smith

Naturalist Jan Christopher Porinchak will conduct a nature presentation and walk at Caleb Smith State Park Preserve on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown on Saturday, June 17, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Pre-registration is required as space is limited. Call (631) 265-1054. www.friendsofcalebsmith.org


7. Rainbows in Nature: A Celebration of Summer

Come visit Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown for an afternoon of treasure hunts, an animal presentation, relay races, face painting, and of course tours of our wondrous enclosedButterfly Garden. Highlighting the event will be local author, Michelle Zimmerman, as she leads children on magical adventures through a story and a full spectrum of rainbow fun including a butterfly hunt and a rainbow butterfly craft to take home. 

Please arrive before 1pm.


8. Butterfly Safari

Where:      Caleb Smith State Park Preserve, 581 W Jericho Tpke, Smithtown, New York 11787

Fun For Families Program. For ages 5 and up.
Discover a butterflies life cycle, metamorphosis and survival technics. After an indoor presentation, head out on a butterfly expedition to find, catch, observe and release these beautiful insects.
Reservations are required, please call 631.265.1054.
Costs: $4 per person and $8 parking.


9. 4th Annual Musical Variety Show

When:       Saturday, June 17

Time:         7:00 PM

Where:      The Sellaro Music Hall, Corner of Mayflower and Edgewater Avenues, Smithtown

Tickets are priced at $25 per person and include live entertainment, popcorn, soda or water, coffee and cake. There will also be raffles drawn from the audience. Seating is limited. Advance ticket purchase required. Call Brother Bob Graham at 631-265-0205.


10. Mud Day for Father’s Day

Come all those people who love to get muddy to celebrate international mud day at Sweetbriar.  We will be playing in water, mud, and other messy things.  Children will be making mud pies, magic mud, princess mud, and slime.  Mud day is the perfect Father’s Day experience.
