Shining Stars: Past and Present is an art exhibition and sale celebrating women artists from the East End of Long Island alongside international women artists from years past. 2. Shu Swamp Nature Walk

You’re invited to join us for our Fall Woods Walks and Swamp Strolls, a seasonal outdoor experience designed to deepen your connection with nature. Using simple nature-awareness skills, we’ll explore the trails together, learning through observation, curiosity, and play while gaining a greater sense of belonging to both the natural landscape and its human history. Each walk is open-ended and inspired by the season itself—shaped by what we notice, discover, and experience along the way.
3. Pictures with Santa
When: Dec 19, 2025 through Dec 23, 2025 (daily)
Where: Hicks Nurseries, 100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury, NY
Create a magical holiday memory with Pictures with Santa, located in our festive Seasonal Décor area! Santa will be available Monday–Friday from 1pm–4pm and 5pm–8pm, and on weekends from 10am–1pm and 2pm–6pm. Children are welcome to sit on Santa’s lap or next to him for photos. Don’t forget to bring your own camera to capture these special moments!
4. The Santa 5K
When: Sunday, December 21st at 8:30 AM
Where: Eisenhower Park - Parking Field 2, 1899 Hempstead Tpke, East Meadow, NY
Hosted by the Long Island Road Runners Club, this special event is your chance to run your last 5K of the year while celebrating community, healthy choices, and quality racing. The club proudly brings friends and family together for a fun and meaningful day—plus, you can become a “Duck” by signing up during registration! Active Military receive free entry with valid military ID (please message the chat icon at least 24 hours before race day for your free entry). A Kids Fun Run is available for just $1 (collected at registration), and participants are encouraged to bring unwrapped toys to support the John Theissen Children’s Foundation Toy Drive.
5. Winter Wonderland Marketplace

6. It's A Wonderful 5K Run/Walk
When: Saturday, December 20th at 9:30 AM
Where: Belmont Lake State Park - Race Site, 625 Belmont Ave, West Babylon, NY
It’s a Wonderful 5K is truly a wonderful race experience! Runners will enjoy a festive run through the scenic beauty of Belmont Lake, surrounded by fresh air, cheerful energy, and holiday spirit. After crossing the finish line, celebrate your accomplishment with merry swag and refreshing, festive treats courtesy of Waterloo Sparkling Water—making this joyful 5K a perfect way to move, smile, and soak in the season.
