Long Island Craft Pop-Ups is hosting a two-week Artisan Call, inviting Long Island–based makers to participate in a Spring-themed craft vendor search. Artisans are encouraged to submit photos of their handmade goods along with a brief description during the call window for review and consideration. Selected makers will be invited to showcase their work at an upcoming indoor Spring Pop-Up, scheduled for the last Sunday in March and graciously hosted by a well-established local business.
2. Museum Adventure Activity: Sea Survival Challenge!

Set sail for an unforgettable museum adventure in the Sea Survival Challenge! Young explorers will journey through interactive exhibits, gathering clues and solving puzzles inspired by shipwrecked sailors, resourceful castaways, and bold ocean scientists. Along the way, they’ll discover the skills needed to survive the open sea and navigate the unknown. The adventure concludes with a hands-on craft—creating a Navigator’s Necklace featuring a real working compass to take home as a keepsake of their ocean quest.
3. Amazing Animals Week

Amazing Animals Week is coming this February! From scaly reptiles to fuzzy bunnies, join us for a special hands-on experience with our museum’s resident animals. Visitors of all ages will have the chance to meet, learn about, and interact with these fascinating creatures up close—making it a fun and educational adventure you won’t want to miss.
4. LI Music Bonanza
When: Saturday, February 21st at 7 PM
Where: Knights of Columbus, 78 Hempstead Ave, Lynbrook, NY

Join us for the Long Island Music Bonanza, a night dedicated to celebrating the vibrant original sounds of local talent from Long Island. On Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 7:00 PM to midnight, enjoy live performances from emerging LI bands in an energetic community atmosphere. Admission is just $15 at the door, with a cash bar and food available for purchase throughout the evening. Don’t miss this showcase of homegrown music and creativity!
5. Superheroes of the Sky
When: Saturday, February 21st at 11 AM
Where: Sweetbriar Nature Center, 62 Eckernkamp Drive, Smithtown, NY

Superheroes of the Sky invites you on a guided walking tour with Jim as he feeds our magnificent Birds of Prey and shares the fascinating adaptations that help them thrive in the wild. Along the way, you’ll see and learn about our Bald Eagle, Turkey Vultures, owls, hawks, and more up close. Admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child (under 12).
6. Winter 2026 Ceramics for Adults & Teens
When: Every Sunday through March 22
Where: Gallery North, 90 N Country Rd, Setauket, NY

Winter 2026 Ceramics for Adults & Teens is an 8-week clay workshop celebrating Gallery North’s exciting new expansion into ceramics. Led by Long Island ceramic artist Jessamyn Go, this course welcomes adults and advanced teens (ages 13+) who are eager to explore clay or deepen their artistic practice. Each two-hour session blends live demonstrations with guided studio time, allowing students to build confidence and refine their skills. Over the course of the program, participants will complete four elevated ceramic projects—each developed across two weeks—emphasizing both technical growth and personal creative expression.
