3. Water Balloon Drop Challenge at CMEE

Get ready for some splash-worthy fun at the Children’s Museum of the East End during their Water Balloon Drop Challenge on Saturday, March 29, from 10 to 11 a.m.! Kids of all ages are invited to engineer creative contraptions designed to protect their water balloons from a daring drop off the highest point in the museum—the top of the pirate ship. To add an eco-friendly twist, guests are encouraged to bring upcycled materials from home, such as milk cartons, takeout containers, and plastic bags, to build their balloon-saving inventions. It’s a morning of hands-on fun, creativity, and a little bit of a splash!

5. Hope In Motion 5K Run/Walk

Join us for the Hope in Motion 5K Run/Walk on March 30, 2025, at Eisenhower Park—a heartfelt event dedicated to supporting families who have lost loved ones and those currently struggling with addiction. This meaningful day is not only about raising funds, but also about bringing awareness to the impact of addiction, breaking the stigma, and promoting prevention for today’s youth. By coming together, we can honor the memories of those we’ve lost and take meaningful steps toward a brighter, healthier future for our community. All participants will receive a finisher medal, and the first 150 in-person registrants will receive a special swag bag!

6. Stories in Stone: Celebrating Women’s History

When: Sunday, March 30th at 1 PM
Where: The Whaling Museum & Education Center, 301 Main St, Cold Spring Harbor, NY

Join us for a picturesque early spring walking tour through St. John’s Memorial Cemetery, where we’ll explore the stories of some of its notable permanent residents in honor of Women’s History Month. This guided outdoor tour offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the lives and legacies of the women who helped shape our community. The tour will take place rain or shine (light rain), so please dress accordingly. Due to uneven terrain, the cemetery is not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. Kindly note there are no restroom facilities onsite; we recommend visiting the museum at 301 Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor beforehand.
