2. Mill Neck Manor's Apple Festival

The Apple Festival, a cherished Long Island tradition for more than sixty years, continues to bring together thousands of families for a weekend filled with community, flavor, and fall spirit. Deeply meaningful to Mill Neck Manor alumni and the Long Island Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, the event serves as a heartfelt annual “homecoming.” This year’s festival will once again celebrate the best of the season, featuring an abundance of crisp apple varieties, Karl Ehmer specialty meats, gourmet cheeses, irresistible baked goods, jams, preserves, fudge, and strudel. Guests can also explore an array of local vendors offering handmade crafts, apparel, woodworking creations, jewelry, and more—making it the perfect autumn outing for all ages.

6. Weekend FunRun Nassau County 5K Run/Walk

Join us for a fun-filled post-race celebration featuring a free bagel buffet and a wide variety of beverages—including some alcoholic options when possible! Organizations looking to elevate their experience are welcome to cater their own team picnic, with plenty of picnic and banquet table seating provided for everyone. Enjoy great music from our D.J. spinning tunes all morning, and capture lasting memories with free team and individual photos taken by our event photographer.
