1. Turtle Walk
When: Sunday, June 7th at 8:30 AM
Where: Sweetbriar Nature Center, 62 Eckernkamp Drive, Smithtown, NY

Join us rain or shine for a fun and educational box turtle conservation event at Sweetbriar! Guests will learn about the importance of protecting local box turtles through a presentation, meet some of our resident non-releasable turtles, and help search the fields as we examine and tag turtles when needed. A craft activity will also be available for children to enjoy. Please come prepared with a water bottle, sunblock, long pants, and closed-toe shoes, as we will be walking through tall grasses where ticks may be present. We will meet behind the main house. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature and support local wildlife conservation.
2. Huntington Pet Contest

Where: Town of Huntington, 100 Main Street, Huntington, NY
Celebrate your beloved pet by nominating them for recognition by the Town of Huntington! A panel of seniors will review the nominations and select a winner, who will be honored during a special Town Hall meeting on August 11. Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your furry friend and have them recognized by the community!
3. Rainbow Scavenger Hunt
When: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June 30
Where: The Whaling Museum & Education Center, 301 Main St, Cold Spring Harbor, NY

Celebrate the colors of the rainbow all month long! During gallery hours from 11 AM to 4 PM, kids and families are invited to explore the gallery and search for every color of the rainbow. Complete the colorful scavenger hunt and earn a special prize. This fun activity is included with admission and is available throughout June.
4. National Dino Day
When: Sunday, June 7th at 10 AM
Where: The Center for Science Teaching and Learning, 1450 Tanglewood Rd, Rockville Centre, NY

Celebrate National Dinosaur Day with us and enjoy a hands-on fossil experience for the whole family! Bring your fossils and minerals to have them identified by our educators, then take part in our exciting fossil swap by exchanging a fossil or mineral of your own for something new to add to your collection. This special event is included with museum admission and offers a fun opportunity to learn, explore, and discover the wonders of prehistoric life.
5. 2nd Annual Jam for a Cure
When: Sunday, June 7th at 12:30 PM
Where: Mulcahy's, 3232 Railroad Ave, Wantagh, NY

Join us on June 7th at Mulcahy’s for an unforgettable afternoon of fun, entertainment, and giving back. Enjoy live music, an open bar, a delicious buffet, exciting raffles, prizes, and giveaways, all while celebrating with an amazing crowd. This special event supports the Christopher Ricardo Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis.
