1. Summer Farm Fun with Foam Party

3. Nesconset Day Street Fair
When: Sunday, August 30th at 10 AM
Where: Nesconset Gazebo Park, 127 Smithtown Blvd, Nesconset, NY
Join us for the annual Nesconset Day Street Fair, presented by the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce! Enjoy a day filled with hundreds of craft vendors, delicious food trucks, live music, a DJ, beer and adult beverages, mechanical bull rides, bounce houses, a photo booth, the annual blood drive, and plenty of community spirit. This year is extra special as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday—come dressed in red, white and blue, historical attire, or your favorite character and join the celebration!
4. Boats Ahoy! Scavenger Hunt
When: August 29 - 30
Where: The Whaling Museum & Education Center, 301 Main St, Cold Spring Harbor, NY
Set sail on a fun-filled scavenger hunt for the whole family! During gallery hours from 11 AM–4 PM, search the museum for boats big and small hidden throughout the galleries. Find them all and win a special prize! The scavenger hunt is included with museum admission and runs through September.
5. Seaside Crafts
When: August 29 - 30
Where: The Whaling Museum & Education Center, 301 Main St, Cold Spring Harbor, NY
Celebrate the beach with Seaside Crafts! Through September, kids can enjoy fun nautical self-serve crafts in our workshop during gallery hours from 11 AM–4 PM. Crafts are included with admission.
6. Museum Adventure Activity: Secrets & Spies

Where: The Whaling Museum & Education Center, 301 Main St, Cold Spring Harbor, NY
Step into the world of Revolutionary War espionage during Secrets & Spies! Follow the footsteps of Long Island’s daring Culper Spy Ring as you uncover hidden messages, crack historical ciphers, and collect clues throughout the museum. Complete your mission and earn a junior spy kit for your own covert adventures. Drop in anytime during gallery hours from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM. Members: $5; non-members: Admission + $10. Part of the Liberty at Sea series commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence—bring your passport to receive a special program stamp!
