5. Tin Smithing with Suffolk County Farms at Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE)

The Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) is hosting Tin Smithing with Suffolk County Farms on Saturday, January 31, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. In this 45-minute drop-off program, children will step back in time to learn about farm life in the 1800s while helping with an important historical chore—tin smithing. Using sheets of metal, hammers, and nails, participants will create their own luminary the old-fashioned way and take home their finished piece. This hands-on experience is designed for children ages 6–10.
