4. 29th Annual Kids Fest

The 29th Annual Kids Fest is a fun-filled community carnival with a meaningful purpose, raising funds to provide scholarships for students with special needs from the three high schools in the Bellmore-Merrick School District. Proceeds also support the chamber’s networking events and holiday festival lighting. This exciting weekend event features a wide variety of rides, games, vendors, and delicious food, including favorites like the Expo Wheel, Super Shot, Tokyo Drift, and family-friendly attractions such as the Dragon Wagon and Frog Hopper. Guests can also enjoy a children’s magic and illusion show on Saturday and Sunday, along with a business expo showcasing local chamber members.
5. Branches in Bloom Festival

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Planting Fields Foundation proudly present the first-ever Branches in Bloom Festival at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly spring celebration invites guests to enjoy a full lineup of activities, including a kids tree climb, guided tours, educational exhibits, live entertainment such as magic acts and juggling performances, plus face painting, caricatures, and a variety of food trucks. Admission is $30 per car or $5 per person when arriving by train, which includes parking and access to all festival attractions. Registration is recommended, and the event will take place rain or shine.
