1. Mommas House Virtual 5k/10k Fundraiser

We’re running, walking, jogging, or even dramatically speed-walking to support Momma’s House—helping young moms and their babies find safe housing and the support they deserve Momma’s House is proud to host our first-ever Virtual 5K/10K race, kicking off on January 5, 2026, in honor of co-founder Pat Shea’s 85th birthday. This special event is made even more meaningful as we also celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Momma’s House, marking four decades of love, hope, and community impact.
2. Find the Yeti
When: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday through January 31
Where: The Whaling Museum & Education Center, 301 Main St, Cold Spring Harbor, NY
Drop in during gallery hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at The Whaling Museum & Education Center and enjoy a fun, family-friendly challenge! Explore the galleries as you search for the hidden yetis scattered throughout the space—spot them all and snag a prize. This activity is free with admission and perfect for visitors of all ages.
3. Saturday Story Time
When: Saturday, January 10th at 10:30 AM
Where: The Hampton Library, 2478 Main St.
Join us for Saturday Story Time, a fun and engaging event for all ages! Enjoy great stories brought to life, followed by a creative art activity everyone can participate in. Registration is required, so be sure to sign up in advance—we can’t wait to see you there! 📚🎨
4. Comedy Night at the Seaport Diner
When: Sunday, January 11th at 6 PM
Where: Seaport Diner, 5045 Nesconset Hwy, Port Jefferson Station, NY
Get ready for a fun-filled evening at Comedy Night at the Seaport Diner! Enjoy a delicious three-course dinner followed by a stand-up comedy show featuring Concetta Coppola, Pat Marone, and Harry Freedman. The cost is $45 per person and includes coffee, tea, and soda (plus tax and tip). Beer and wine are available for $6, and mixed house drinks for $10. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:15 PM. Don’t miss a night of great food, drinks, and laughter!
5. Queen – A Royal Tribute

Featuring the incredible Yvan Pedneault, who wowed all of Canada on The Voice in 2016 and was personally selected by Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor to star in the Canadian production of We Will Rock You. Yvan’s star continued to rise with performances in RENT and Rock of Ages before creating his own show, Rhapsody: The Classics of Queen. Now, he brings his electrifying tribute to America, delivering the hits and the spirit of Queen just the way you remember them!
