1. Turtle Walk

It’s that time of the year! Sweetbriar has to check its fields for box turtles, examine the turtles and tag them if needed. Your help is needed to protect these turtles. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are a must. All guests will get to meet some of our resident, non-releasable turtles.
2. South Shore Mall Carnival

3. The Subject was Roses

Like roses, family relationships are beautiful but thorny. 4. Long Island Orchid Festival
When: May 31, 2024 through Jun 02, 2024 (daily)
Where: Planting Fields Arboretum, 1395 Planting Fields Road, Oyster Bay, NY
The Long Island Orchid Society will hold its annual festival at Planting Fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay from May 31 to June 2, 2024, from 9 AM to 5 PM. There will be a beautiful display of orchids from around the world for viewing and purchasing, including various rare and exotic orchids. Local orchid society members will give orchid potting and culture demonstrations and be available to answer your questions. The Art League of Nassau County will have artists painting outdoors all weekend. Their works will be on display at the festival. There will also be an orchid watercolor demonstration.
5. Summer Family Fun Festival

Welcome to the Summer Family Fun Festival! Join us at SAMANEA MALL for a day filled with exciting activities for the whole family. From face painting and balloon animals to delicious food, there are over 70 vendors with unique items, from candles, jewelry, home decor, accessories, kids’ crafts, and so much more.
