3. Charles Dickens Festival

Northwell Mather Hospital presents and the Port Jefferson Arts Council produces the 29th Annual Charles Dickens Festival, where the streets of Port Jefferson Village come alive as a charming Victorian scene inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Stroll from attraction to attraction among festive carolers and characters from Victorian England, and enjoy something for everyone—Santa Claus Central at the Methodist Church, craft projects at the Teen Center at the Port Jefferson Free Library, the Mistletoe Craft Fair and musical performances at the Presbyterian Church, and warm up with piping hot apple cider at the Drowned Meadow House while learning about the area’s Revolutionary War history.
