1. Annual Spring Egg Hunt at Belmont Lake State Park

When: Saturday, March 28th at 12 PM
Where: Belmont Lake State Park, Southern State Parkway (Exit 38N), West Babylon, NY

Join the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation for the 30th Annual Spring Egg Hunt at Belmont Lake State Park on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (rain date: Sunday, March 29). Egg hunts begin at 12:15 PM on the open field and run every 15 minutes, with the final hunt at 2:45 PM. Children will be grouped by age (4 & under, 5–6, and 7–9), with a 3-egg limit per child per hunt to ensure everyone gets a treat—so don’t forget to bring a small bag or basket. In addition to the hunts, families can enjoy food vendors and free activities including a petting zoo, pony rides, educational exhibits, games, inflatables, and the chance to meet and take photos with the Spring Bunny.


2. Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra

When: Saturday, March 28th at 7:30 PM
Where: Staller Center for the Arts, 100 Nicolls Rd, Stony Brook, NY

3. Lovesong for Sunrise: A Concert to Benefit Sunrise Association

Get ready for a night of nostalgia and great music as Lovesong, an ’80s New Wave tribute band, takes the stage at The Nutty Irishman on March 29th in support of SunriseWALKS Long Island. 5. Kids Need More Spring Vendor Fair

Spring fun awaits the whole family at the KiDS NEED MoRE Spring Vendor Fair on Sunday, March 29 from 1–5 PM at the American Legion Hall in Lindenhurst. This indoor, family-friendly event will feature over 30 local vendors offering unique gifts, handmade crafts, boutique items, home goods, and seasonal treats—perfect for Easter baskets, teacher gifts, or a little something for yourself. Kids can enjoy face painting, games, crafts, raffles, and photos with the Easter Bunny, while parents browse, connect, and unwind with access to the venue’s cash bar. Best of all, the event supports KiDS NEED MoRE, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing joy and connection to children facing serious illness and their families.
