1. Heritage Country Fair

When: Sunday, September 24th at 8 AM
Where: Smithtown Historical Society, 239 Middle Country Road, Smithtown, NY

A longtime favorite family event, the Fair offers our community a chance to gather, safely, outdoors in limited groups. With activities like the Island Long Riders Cowboy Mounted Shooting displays, petting zoo and pony rides, an exciting vendor market, and so much more, the Heritage Fair is a day full of fun for the whole family.

 

 

 


2. 2nd Annual Glen Cove Fall Family Festival

When: Saturday, September 23rd at 11 AM
Where: Simpkins Park at Garvies Point, Glen Cove NY, 300 Herb Hill Road, Glen Cove, NY

This is our 2nd year hosting the Glen Cove Fall Family Festival & it’s shaping up to be an extraordinary event! Bring the kids, family & friends for a wonderful time at Simpkins Park. Enjoy free admission, free inflatables & bounce houses, free carnival games & prizes, free photo booth, airbrush body art, kids karaoke, a pumpkin patch & more! Popcorn & Cotton Candy are available for $1-$2 each. We also have food trucks at the park including Sid’s All American  Mr. Flavors Ice Cream, Empanadas-Nellys & Garvies Point Brewery will be joining us next to the beer garden!

3. Stony Brook Happy Harbor Day

When: Saturday. September 23rd at 11 AM
Where: Long Beach Boat Ramp Launch, 555 Long Beach Rd. St James, NY

The Village of Nissequogue and The Friends of Stony Brook Harbor, a coalition of neighbors from Head of the Harbor, Nissequogue, and Stony Brook, will host Happy Harbor Day to raise awareness of the beautiful, yet fragile Stony Brook Harbor. The event, which will be held just past the boat launch at Long Beach in Nissequogue on Saturday, September 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., marks the return of Harbor Day after a 15-year absence. In addition to a variety of environmental and marine science experts who will make presentations, there will be aquarium touch-tanks for young attendees as well as carnival games, all with a nautical theme. Two bands will perform, The Mondays, and The Royal Yard.

 


4. Nature Walk Art

When: Sunday, September 24th at 11 AM
Where: SOFO, 377 Bridgehampton / Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, NY

Through a blend of art & science, we will create magical prints with natural materials and the power of sunlight! Participants will be able to collect organic objects such as leaves and flowers in a walk through Vineyard Field, which we will then use to create unique artwork with sun print paper. Additionally, we will discuss the properties and power of UV light.

5. Fall Festival at Hicks Nurseries

When: September 22nd – October 29th
Where: Hicks Nurseries, 100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury

Hicks Nurseries, Long Island’s largest garden center is once again celebrating the start of the fall season with its 48th annual Fall Festival. The family festival starts September 16 and runs through October 29 with daily kid-friendly activities. There is no fee for admission or parking. What is new this year is a bigger, better hay maze experience. The hay maze was first introduced in 2022 and so well received that Hicks Nurseries decided to expand the footprint making it longer and more challenging. The hay maze is open daily and costs $8 per person for an unlimited day pass.

6. White Post Farms Fall Festival

When: September 23rd – 24th
Where: White Post Farms, 250 Old Country Road, Melville, NY

The White Post Farms Fall Festival is Long Island’s original Fall Farm Festival. Now in it’s 32nd year! Enjoy pumpkin picking, hayrides, five family shows in the cornfield and more fall farm fun! Feast on traditional foods of the season including roasted corn, apple cider donuts and caramel and candy apples. Bring home award-winning breads and pies. Shop for fall decor including beautiful mums. Explore the White Post Animal Farm with 100s of farm animals including the Giraffe Experience and Feeding which is included with your admission. Visit our two bird avairies and hand feed lovebirds and lorikeets. Visit the monkey barn and the koi pond. Feed alpacas, goats, cows, antelope, zebra, camels and more.
